Violet Gilliam 1920 - 2003 Violet Owens Gilliam, 83, of Grayson died Saturday in Kings Daughters Medical Center following a long illness. She was born January 6, 1920 in Smokey Vallley, KY a daughter of the late Charlie and Daisy Kiser Owens. She was a homemaker and of Christian faith. She is survived by: 5 Daughters: Dottie Collier of Olive Hill, KY, Edna Faye Williams of Mansfield, OH; Betty Sue Boggs, Ruth Dickerson and Joyce Shirkey all of Grayson, KY. 1 Son: Carl Gilliam of Mansfield, OH; Grandson whom she raised: Rick Heaberlin of Grayson. 16 GC, 28 GGC, 1 GGG Granddaughter. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Malone Funeral Home by the minister Lewis Davis. Burial will be in the East Carter Co. Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 6-9 Monday at the funeral home and after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday until funeral service. Condolences may be electronically sent to family at www.timeformemory.com/malone.
