Anthony David Mosco 1929-2006

Anthony David Mosco, 76, of Ironton, passed away Thursday, May 25, 2006, in Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell. He was born Sept. 20, 1929, in Monessen, Pa., a son of the late Berardino and Rosalia Eusanio Mosco.

Anthony was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving during the Korean Conflict and retired from Allied Chemical Barrett?s Division as an area supervisor with 40 years of service. He was a member of Saint Lawrence O?Toole Catholic Church in Ironton and graduated in 1949 from Monessen High School. He had lived in Ironton since 1953.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Joan Currington Mosco; two daughters and sons-in-law, Martha and Kenneth Campbell III of Richmond, Va., and Rosalia and Robert Lilly of Ironton; grandchildren, Amelia and Kenneth Campbell IV of Richmond, Erin and Christopher Lilly of Ironton; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Mary Mosco of New York City and Yolanda and Pierre Luti of Monessen; three sisters-in-law, Peggy Mosco of Charleroi, Pa., Maria Mosco of San Diego, and Gloria Mauthe of Ypsilanti, Mich.; mother-in-law, Erma Currington of Ironton; and many nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Saint Lawrence O?Toole Catholic Church with Father Thomas Nau officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Hayes-Phillips Funeral Home, 509 South Sixth St., Ironton. A vigil service will be at 7 p.m. Monday.
