Thelma Poling 1939-2007 Thelma Poling NILES — Thelma Poling, 68, of 524 W. Third St., died at 5:04 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2007, at Specialty Select Hospital. Mrs. Poling was born March 15, 1939, in Carter County, Ky., a daughter of James and Evaline Carpenter Middleton. She is survived by a son, Jody R. Poling; two daughters, Brenda K. Poling and Glenda J. Poling, both of Niles; five sisters, Mary Reynolds of Watkins, Colo., Sarah Jane Kegley of Olive Hill, Ky., Colista Kitchen of St. Mary’s, Mollie Sadler of Leetonia, Loretta Newlan of Mansfield; two brothers, Stanley and James Middleton Jr., both of Olive Hill, Ky.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elwood H. Poling, and two infant brothers. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Robert P. McDermott Memorial Home, where calling hours will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday. Burial will be at Niles City Cemetery.
