Boonie McDavid 

1925-2003 

Emory Earl "Boonie" McDavid, 78, of Grayson, Ky., went to be with the Lord, surrounded by his loved ones, Friday morning, Oct. 31, 2003, following an extended illness. 

Mr. McDavid was born Jan. 28, 1925, in Boyd County, Ky., a son of the late Willie and Nerva Oney McDavid. 

He was a member of Little Fork United Baptist Church, was a World War II Marine veteran, was a retired boilermaker, was a farmer, and was a member of the DAV No. 147. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Lucille Adams; two brothers, Oney McDavid and Bill McDavid; and a son-in-law, Randy Sexton. 

He is survived by his wife, Helen Bazzrea McDavid; his mother-in-law, Blanche Bazzrea of Covington, Va.; three daughters and their husbands, Sandra and David Biglow, Janie and Thomas Voeltz and Toni and Jerry Mullins, all of Grayson; two granddaughters and their husbands, Lorna and Floyd Willis and Kristy and Jason Cordial, all of Grayson; one grandson and his wife, Chris and Janna Sexton of Grayson; four great-grandchildren, Chasity, Eden, Nicholas and Joshuah; and two stepgrandchildren, Jenny and Todd. 

Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with Terry Bryant, Tim Porter and Jimmy Adkins, ministers. Burial will be in East Carter County Memory Gardens with graveside military rites by the East Carter High School Jr. ROTC. 

Friends may call Sunday evening from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the WWII Memorial, c/o Malone Funeral Home, 325 Malone Lane, Grayson, Ky. 41143.
