Kentucky GenWeb projectJames Mays May 7, 2006 James Mays OAKWOOD James C. Mays, 70, Oakwood, died at 8:35 p.m. Friday, May 5, 2006, at his home. He was born Feb. 24, 1936, in Olive Hill, Ky., the son of Russell and Ottie (Jackson) Mays. In 1957, he married Mary Schwartzengraber, who survives. He retired from GM Powertrain in 2002. Also surviving are two sons, Marvin of Defiance and James Jr., Lakewood; two daughters, Mary Ann Shepherd of Cecil and Mrs. Bruce (Donna) Bailey, Defiance; a sister, Ione Meade, Kentucky; two brothers, Stoney of Dupont and Dan, Olive Hill, Ky.; and two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Preceding him in death were his parents; four brothers, Russell Jr., Paul, Frank and Manual; and six sisters, Dora, Nora, Fay, Barbara, Lou and Nioka. There will be no visitation or services. Preferred memorials are to Home Health Care and Hospice of Paulding County. Condolences may be left at www.heitmeyerfuneralhome
