Marion Ishmel “Joe” Marshall - 1925-2007

Marion Ishmel “Joe” Marshall, 81, of Grayson, passed away Monday, July 30, 2007 in Carter Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born Sept. 17, 1925, in Willard in Carter County. He was the son of the late Roscoe and Ethel Salyers Marshall.

He was a former city of Grayson maintenance employee, a Willard School custodian, a farmer and of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife, Ada Gallion Marshall of Grayson; his son, David Marshall, also of Grayson; a stepdaughter, Phyllis Michaels of Ashland; 
two brothers, Lonnie (Cleo) Marshall of Dayton, Ohio, and Clayton (Nancy) Marshall of Grayson; his four sisters, Jean (John) Adams of Eaton, Ohio, 
and Clara Pennington, Ruby Justice and Mary (Joe) Kitchen, all of Grayson; several nieces and nephews; and his lifelong friend, Arnold Leadingham.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Raymond Marshall.

Services for Mr. Marshall will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, at Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson. David Boggs will officiate. 
He will be laid to rest in Leadingham Cemetery.

Friends may call Wednesday, Aug. 1, between the hours of 6 and 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
