      Pierce E. Madden, 66, of Olde Falls Road, insurance agent, died at 11:15 p.m. Monday (May 2) at Good Samaritan Hospital 
      where he was admitted April 15 for treatment of a heart ailment. 

      Mr. Madden was born July 27, 1899 in Soldier, Ky., a son of T. A. and Margaret Keaton Madden and had lived in Zanesville since 1936. 

      He was a retired clerk for the Pennsylvania Railroad Company and in 1925 became associated with Prudential Insurance Company. 
      In 1950 he formed the Madden Insurance Agency and on April 1, 1966, became associated with the Moorehead Insurance Company. 

      Mr. Madden attended the North Side Church of the Nazarene. 

      Surviving are his widow the former Lorena Vincent, a daughter, Mrs. Bernard (Joyce) West of Olde Falls Road; 
      three sons, Harold Madden of Lexington, Ky., Theodore of Columbus and Keith of Dresden Road; 15 grandchildren; 
      a sister, Mrs. Macie Dickerson of Crawfordville, Ind., and a brother, Bert of Soldier, Ky. 

      A sister and a brother are deceased. 

      The body was taken to the Blue Avenue Chapel of Bohn Funeral Home where friends may call. 

      Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the Blue Avenue Chapel with Rev. Wesley Frederick and Rev. Chester Newcome officiating. 
      Burial will be in Memorial Park.
