Betty Jo Garland 

NILES

Betty Jo Garland, 75, of East State Street, Niles, passed away at 8:20 p.m. Monday, Sept. 11, 2006, in the intensive care unit of St. Joseph Health Center.

Betty was born on Dec. 17, 1930, in Grahn, Ky., and was the daughter of the late Homer and Anna Pearl (Littleton) Littleton.

Betty was a homemaker and attended Faith Baptist Church in Niles. She loved to cook and was a wizard on the computer. 
Betty enjoyed swimming, camping with her husband, but most of all, Betty enjoyed being with her family and watching 
her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Betty was married on Sept. 11, 1948, to James R. Garland and they were married for 55 years until his passing on Sept. 25, 2003. 
They are now reunited to celebrate their 58th wedding anniversary.

Betty is survived by four children, Connie (Robert Sr.) Rhodes of Mineral Ridge, Bonnie (Raymond) Rook of Niles, 
James A. (Pam) of Canfield and Mark R. (Lori) of Mineral Ridge; three brothers, Homer Littleton Jr. of Niles, Milton 'Bud' Littleton of Niles 
and G. Lyn Littleton of McDonald; a sister, Barbara Gilmour of Niles; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15, 2006, and from 10:30 a.m. until the hour of the service Saturday, Sept. 16, 2006, 
at the Lane Funeral Home Mineral Ridge Chapel, where a funeral service will take place at 11:30 a.m.

Interment will take place in Kerr Cemetery, Weathersfield Township.
