Kentucky GenWeb projectVIRGIL LESTER The Daily Independent, Ashland, Ky. Monday, January 16, 1969 Virgil Harve Lester, 86, of Garner Road, Ashland, died Sunday at his home. Mr. Lester was born April 25, 1902, at Willard, a son of the late Lenzie and Celina Greene Lester. He was a retired electrician with Local Union 317. He was a member of the East Fork United Methodist Church and the Greenhill Masonic Lodge, 521 F & AM. Surviving are his wife, Evelyn Stamper Lester; three daughters, Helen Holbrook of Denton, Karen Wiley of Mt. Sterling and Hollis Wilcox of Grayson; two sons, Virgil H. Lester and Kerry Lester, both of Ashland; two sisters, Grace Waugh of Logan, W. Va., and Nell Allen of Lexington; three brothers, George Lester and Herb Lester, both of Catlettsburg, and Bill Lester of Klamath Falls, Ore.; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. Funeral arrangements under the direction of Miller Funeral Home in Ashland.
