Kentucky GenWeb projectROY KENNEDY FROM XENIA (OH) DAILY GAZETTE 11/4/06 Roy "Cannonball" Kennedy, 76, of Jamestown, OH passed away November 1, 2006 at Liberty Nursing Center in Jamestown. He was born in Willard, KY on December 11, 1929, the son of George M. and Myrtle Wells Kennedy. He retired from Don Thompson Excavating in 1992. Roy is survived by his wife, Mary (Montgomery), whom he married April 30, 1955; his son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Denise Kennedy of Jamestown; granddaughter, Mia Kennedy; sister, Eula Mae Kepler of Jamestown, and brother, Roger (Barbara) Kennedy of Beavercreek, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Pauline Smith, Geneva Pettit, and Imogene Scott; and three brothers, two in infancy, Harold and Rosco Kennedy, and George Kennedy Jr. Services will be held November 6, 2006 at 11am at the Powers Funeral Home, 12 N. Limestone Street, Jamestown, where friends may call November 5, 2006 3-6pm. Burial will be in the Silvercreek Cemetery, Jamestown.
