Lydia L. Jones Egans

MANSFIELD -- Lydia L. Jones Egans, 86, died Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2005, at Riverside Hospital after a sudden illness. 

Lydia was born December 14, 1918 in Jacobs, Kentucky and was the daughter of the late Eddie and Clara Evans Jones. 

On December 21, 1935, she married the late Charlie M. Egans. 

Lydia was employed by Westinghouse for several years before retiring. She enjoyed her family, traveling, and bingo. 

She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Egans Leveque of Mansfield; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Nelson and Deanna Jones of Galion, Clell and Louise Jones of Mansfield; sister, Agnes Nauman of Mansfield; sisters-in-law Pauline Pelfrey of Marion and Gay Jones of Jacobs, Kentucky; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents and husband, Lydia was preceded in death by a brother, Phillip Jones of Jacobs, Kentucky; sister, Lucille Porter of Sun City, Arizona; and nephew, Danny D. Porter formerly of Mansfield. 

Funeral services will be Friday, Aug. 26, 2005, at 10:30 a.m. at Finefrock-Williams Funeral Home, 350 Marion Avenue with the Reverend Canon David Sipes officiating. 

Burial will be at Mansfield Memorial Park. 

Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday, Aug. 18, 2005, from 5 to 7 p.m. 

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to a charity of one's choice.
