Virginia Carter        
1922 - 2005 

Virginia Carter, 82 of Argillite, was born in Carter Co., KY a daughter of Luther and Mable Fankell Johnson on November 1, 1922. 
Virginia went home to be with her Lord October 27, 2005 at home doing the things she loved to do. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, 
Great Grandmother and devoted sister. She loved cooking for her family, gardening, canning, and having family get togethers. 
She was a member of the Hunnewell Baptist Church, a member of the National Red Cross Nursing Association and a member of the Veterans Ladies Auxiliary. 
She was preceded in death by her husband Delmar Carter in 1999, a son James Keith Carter, brothers Harlen Wayne Johnson and Ray Johnson.

1 Son and daughter in law: 

Elmer and Reva Carter Oldtown KY 


4 Sisters: 

Maxine Miller Grayson 

Betty Sullivan WI

Eva Nell Burchett Olive Hill 


1 Brother and sister in law: 

James and Gay Johnson Olive Hill KY 


Grandchildren: 

Susan (Mike) Boggs, Ray (Krisa) Forbes, Jennifer (Billy) Sark, Carty Lee (Trish) Carter, Amy (Roy) Ison, Byron Bustetter. 


Great Grandchildren: 

Austin Forbes, Amber Forbes, Josh (Andrea) Boggs, Shane Boggs, Mackenzie Stephens, Jacob Sark, Caleb Carter and Shelby Ison. 


Since the sun always shines in Heaven her children and all that know and loved her know she is working in the Lords garden. 


Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, 2:00 p.m. at the Malone Funeral Home by Chris Russell and Everett Gullett. 

Burial will be in the East Carter Co. Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 6-9 Saturday and after 10:00 a.m. Sunday.
