Kentucky GenWeb projectSarah Young 1907-2003 Sarah Edna Johnson Young, 96, of Westwood, Ky., passed away Wednesday morning, Oct. 29, 2003, in Woodland Oaks. Mrs. Young was born March 10, 1907, in Blaine, Ky., a daughter of the late Joseph and Virgie Edwards Johnson. She was of the Freewill Baptist faith. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank Young; one son, Charles Lowell Young; one brother, Jim Johnson; and four sisters, Nola Farris, Goldie Griffith, Gladys Griffith and Mavis Dillon. Surviving are one son, Frank Young Jr. of Ashland; three daughters, Datha Lawson of Dayton, Ohio, Lois Hankins of Ashland and Joyce Greene of Lexington, Ky.; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and one expecting great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31, 2003, at the Caniff Funeral Home in Westwood by the Rev. Raymond Stephens. Burial will follow in Dixon Cemetery in Westwood. Friends may call from 1:30 p.m. to service time Friday at the funeral home.
