Cole Torrance Johnson (1961-2007) Cole Torrance Johnson, 46, of Olive Hill, Ky., passed away Thursday, May 10, 2007, in Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem, N.C. He was born March 28, 1961, in Toledo, Ohio, to Billie Ruth Wicker Sparks and the late Ray Johnson. Cole was a retired boilermaker, working with the Local No. 45 for 10 years. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed motorcycle riding, car racing and the ocean. Preceding him in death was his father, Ray Johnson; and two brothers, Dwight K. Johnson and Raymond L. Johnson. He is survived by his mother, Billie Ruth Sparks of Olive Hill; his stepmother, Ada M. Johnson of Toledo; his stepfather, J. Larry Sparks of Olive Hill; one brother, Howard “Randy” (Della) Johnson of Olive Hill; two sisters, Trina R. (David) Knipp of Olive Hill and Lenore Sparks of Georgetown, Ky.; and a niece and nephews. Friends may call after 6 p.m. today, May 13, 2007, at Oney-Henderson Funeral Home in Olive Hill. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, May 14, 2007, at the funeral home by Brother Randy Binion. Burial will follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
