Kentucky GenWeb projectThe Ashland Daily Independent Albia Ratcliff Albia Ratcliff 76, wife of G.R. Ratcliff of Jeriel Ky, died at 5 am Sunday at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs Ratcliff was born Nov 7,1886 in Lawrence Co. Ky a daughter of the late William and Lydia Triplett Howell. She was a member of Jeriel Missionary Baptist Church and a resident of Jeriel since 1917. Additional survivors include; five daughters Lucille Vaughn of Ashland, Gertrude Ratcliff of Jeriel, Evelyn Donley of South Webster Ohio , Earlene Blevins of Patriot Ohio and Joyce McCoy of Denton Ky; two sons Tom and Clifford both at home; two sisters Maude Hammond and Emma Howell of Rt 4 Louisa; three brothers Elliot Howell of Ashland, Henry and Fred Howell both of Rt 4 Louisa; 20 grandchildren and 10 great- grandchildren. Services were conducted at 2pm Tuesday at the residence of Maude Hammond by Rev. Andrew Kiser. Burial was in Glenwood cemetery. Malone Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
