Kentucky GenWeb projectGaye Sparks 1937-2007 WARREN — Gaye Sparks, 69, 36 Hickory Lane, died at 11:38 a.m. Thursday, April 5, 2007, at Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital following complications from surgery. She was born Nov. 28, 1937, in Olive Hill, Ky., the daughter of Earl and Myrtle Wagoner Hanshaw Sr. She came to Niles as a child from Kentucky. She enjoyed crocheting and activities with her grandchildren. Gaye is survived by her husband, Victor Sparks, whom she married on Sept. 1, 1972; three daughters, Victoria (Michael) Strock of Niles, Kimberly (Mark) Culver of Brookfield and Veronica Aiosa of Warren; a son, Rocky Hanshaw of Warren; a brother, Marvin (Carla) Hanshaw of Warren; a sister, Thelma Beecher Barker of Austintown; 14 grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Earl Hanshaw Jr., and a sister, Shirley Hanshaw. Calling hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday April 7, 2007, at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, April 9, 2007, at the funeral home. The Rev. Garey McCartney will officiate. Burial will be in Kerr Cemetery.
