John Hall (1965-2007)

John Melvin Hall, 42, of Okeechobee, Fla., formerly of Grayson, died Nov. 15, 2007, in Okeechobee.

He was born Nov. 12, 1965, a son of Anna Bernice King Hall Carter of Olive Hill and the late Johnny Monroe Hall. 

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Julie Hall.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and Air Force and a graduate of the Junior ROTC and College ROTC programs.

Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife of eight years, Dorothy Lemin Hall of Okeechobee; a daughter, Heather Hall of Montpelier, Ind.; 
a son, Corey Hall of Winchester; three stepdaughters, Crystal Cates of Hazard, Jackie Cates of Morehead and Melanie Cates of Olive Hill; 
a stepson, Jay Lawyer of Okeechobee; five sisters, Gloria Mauro of Grayson, Joninice and Denny Ison of Grayson, Patricia and Michael Kees of Willard, 
Nellie and Homer Albright of Montpelier and Rosemary Rhoades of Montpelier; six grandchildren, including Angel and Sabrina Cates, whom he raised; 
12 nephews; four nieces; six great-nephews; three great-nieces; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Grayson United Pentecostal Church by ministers Charles Seagraves and Darrell Gollihue. 
Burial will be in Johnny Roe Memorial Park.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Malone Funeral Home and after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
