Obie E. Griffith 1919 - 2005 Obie E. Griffith, 85, of Willard went to be with the Lord on Saturday. He was born September 7, 1919, in Webbville a son of the late Obie H. and Celia Stuart Griffith. He was a member of the VFW, Willard American Legion, a WWII veteran, and a self-employed bricklayer. He was preceded in death by his wife Loretta Adams Griffith in 2003 and his twin sister Oda Harrison. His survivors include: six Sons: Lowell and Patty Griffith of Grayson; Gary Griffith of Willard; Mike and “Nina” Griffith, Terry and “Brenda” Griffith and Brian and “Joanne” Griffith all of Grayson, KY; Brett and “Beth” Griffith Catlettsburg, KY. Two Daughters: Carolyn and “Bill” Davis Robertsdale, AL and La Donna and “Tucker” Thompson of Willard, KY. Two Brothers: William R. Griffith of Globe, KY and Roy Griffith of Elyria, OH; one sister: Martha Ellen Rucker of Webbville. 18 GC and 13 GGC Funeral services will be Tuesday 2:00 p.m. at the Malone Funeral Home. Burial will be in the East Carter Co. Memory Gardens with graveside services by the East Carter Jr. ROTC. Friends may call Monday from 6-9 at the Malone Funeral Home.
