Burtle Rose (1920-2006)

Burtle Lee Rose, 86, of Webb Ridge Road in Olive Hill, Ky., went to be with her heavenly father on Thursday, May 4, 2006, 
in Carter Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Rose was born March 4, 1920, in Carter County, Ky., a daughter of the late Arthur Gilliam and Ada Qualls Gilliam.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Rose in 1966 and her second husband, Vernon Dyer in 1982. 
She was also preceded in death by her two brothers, Clayton and Chester Gilliam; and her infant son and daughter.

She was a homemaker, a loving mother and grandmother and member of the Oak Grove Church of Christ.

She is survived by her son, Ronald E. and Carletta Rose of Grayson; her daughter, Delores Henderson of Olive Hill; 
her brother, Earl Gilliam, also of Olive Hill; her five grandchildren, Kimberly Dianne Rose, Ronald Ray Rose, Danny Ray Henderson, 
Ramona Kay Gilliam, and Michelle Elaine Short; four stepchildren; and 13 nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Rose will be Sunday, May 7 at 2 p.m. at Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson. Dick Damron will officiate. 
She will be laid to rest in Ervin Cemetery.

Friends may call after 6 tonight, May 6 at the funeral home.
