Thomas Jackson Fultz, Jonesboro
Dec. 10, 1947 - July 25, 2005

 

JONESBORO - Thomas Jackson Fultz, 57, died at 9:30 a.m. Monday in his home. 

He was born in Olive Hill, Ky., and lived in the Grant County area most of his life. He was a former employee of RCA. He was an Army veteran and was highly decorated while in the service, serving in the 173rd airborne during Vietnam. He was a 20-year member of the Marion National Guard and a member of American Legion Post 95. He loved spending time with friends. 

Survivors include sons, Douglas Fultz and Daniel Jackson "D.J." Fultz, both of Marion; brothers, Tim Fultz, Olive Hill, Ky., Rodney (Ann) Lynch and Terry Fultz, both of Gas City; sisters, Sandra (Ronnie) Perry and Deborah (Donny) Plumley, both of Morehead, Ky., Lottie (Tracy) King, Francine Bond and Pam (Allen) Stone, all of Olive Hill, Ky.; girlfriend, Becky Colmenero, Jonesboro; honorary pallbearers, JC Hunt, Dave Hawkins, Dale Sachse and Ruby Browning. 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Irene (Hall) Fultz. 

Services are at 10 a.m. Thursday in Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, with the Rev. Mick Simpkins officiating. Burial with military rites is in Fultz Cemetery, Olive Hill, Ky. 

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home and at 11 a.m. Saturday in Globe Funeral Home, Olive Hill, Ky. Online condolences may be made at www.nswcares.com.
