Phillip Watt Flannery

Born – 1941

OLIVE HILL - Phillip Watt Flannery, 65, of Old U.S. 60 in Olive Hill passed away Sunday afternoon July 1, at the King’s Daughters’ Medical Center. 

Mr. Flannery was born Dec. 18, 1941 in Carter County and was the son of the late Leonard and Lona Seagraves-Flannery. 

Besides his parents he is preceded in death by one grandson, Phillip Roe; seven brothers, Leroy Flannery, Ray Flannery, Matt Flannery, Jack Flannery, 
John Flannery, Curt Flannery and Tom Flannery. Mr. Flannery was a heavy equipment operator and of the Methodist faith. 

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Cathy Christoph-Flannery and one son David Flannery Smith of Morehead; three daughters 
and sons-in-law, Tina and Doug Crider of Olive Hill, Lora and Ethan Roe of Lexington, Phyllis and Chad Kyle of Olive Hill; 
two brothers, Charles Flannery of Ashland and William “Willie” Flannery of Olive Hill; one sister, Lois Brown of Ashland; 
three grandchildren, Lanette Oney, Phillip Reed Crider and Braxton Smith; one great-grandchild, Haylan Oney and many other family 
and friends who will sadly mourn his passing. 

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m., July 4, at the Globe Funeral Chapel with Brother Jason Carpintero officiating. 
Burial will follow in the Flannery Cemetery in Olive Hill. 

Friends may call after 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 3 until the service hour on Wednesday at the chapel. 

Chad Kyle, Ethan Roe, David Flannery Smith, Braxton Smith, Jerry Edwards and Mark Brown will serve as pallbearers.
