SAMUEL "BUSTER" DUMMITT

Born 1919

Dry Branch--Samuel "Buster" Dummitt, 85, of Dry Branch died at his residence on June 3.

He was born January 31, 1919.

He was a construction laborer.

Mr. Dummitt was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Allie Goddard Dummitt; sons, Gayle and Roy Lester Dummitt; 
daughter, Patricia Dummitt; brothers Thomas, George and Eugene Dummitt; sister, Imogene Dummitt.
Survivors include sons: Ron (Kay) Dummitt of Grayson, Arthur (Joyce) Dummitt of McArthur, Ohio, Sam (Calista) Dummitt of Oceola, Ohio, 
Dale (Dorothy) Dummitt of Olive Hill, Troy Dummitt of Lewis County and Christopher Dummitt of Indianapolis, Indiana; 
daughters, Pam (Randall) Conn of Dry Branch; 14 grandchildren, one step grandchild, 14 great-grandchildren, one step great-grandchild, 
three step great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday, June 6, at Garrison Funeral Chapel.

Burial was in the Waring Cemetery in Garrison, with Pastor Delmar Logan, Jr. and Kevin Angel.

Editor's Note: Buster was married more than once...or twice.... but the wife I knew was Maxine Masters Dummitt.
She is a descendant of James Logan (the elder). The children that belong to Maxine Masters Dummitt are: Dale, Troy, Christopher and Pam. (Shirley Buckler)
