Wade Davis, age 55, of Armentrout Road, Fredericktown, died Saturday April 5, 2003 at Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon. He was born on July 21, 1947 in Grahn, Kentucky to the late Lue and Haley (Potter) Davis. Mr. Davis retired in 1991 as a supervisor for Abbot and Company. He was a loving father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years Carla (Perkins) Davis, two sons, Shawn (Michelle) Davis of Fredericktown, Mitchell Davis, two daughters, Heather Ann Davis of Mount Vernon, Haley (Paul) Payne of Jelloway, nine grandchildren, Jordan, Trace, Brooklyn, Madison, Joshua, Briana, Shawn, Jacob, Ian, two brothers, Homer (Betty) Davis of Grayson, Kentucky, John (Donna) Davis of Douglas, Michigan, three sisters, Edna (Hobert) Royster, Ruth (Ferril) Greene and Virginia (Albert) Cooper all of Carter, Kentucky.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Davis, two brothers, Wayne and Gordon Davis and a sister Myrtle Neighbors.
Friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM at the Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown where a funeral service will be Wednesday at 2 PM. Burial will follow in Amity Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Children?s Hospital and can be left at the funeral home.
