James Lowe “J.L.” Cecil Born – 1956 OLIVE HILL – Mr. James Lowe “J.L.” Cecil, age 50, of Olive Hill, passed away Wednesday morning, April 25, 2007 at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. Mr. Cecil was born August 9, 1956 in Carter County, and is the son of Hubert Cecil of Olive Hill and the Late Charlotte Waye Lowe Cecil. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Chris and Effie Boggs Lowe; paternal grandparents, Shular and Josie Stratton Cecil; mother and father in-law, Gene and Faith Valandingham Wilburn; and one sister in-law, Susie Wilburn Bond. J.L. was the owner of Valley Metal Sales and attended the Three Pines Freewill Baptist Church in Olive Hill. He is survived by his wife of twenty-eight years, Linda Wilburn Cecil; two sons, Chase Cecil and Chance Cecil both of Olive Hill; one sister and brother-in-law, Jenny Lou and Harvey Kiser of Olive Hill; two brothers-in-law, Keith and Rhonda Wilburn, and Gary Bond, all of Olive Hill; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Jim McCormick of Olive Hill; along with a host of extended family and friends who will sadly mourn his passing. Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Sunday, April 28, at the Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, with Brother Bob Kazee and Brother Gary Sparks officiating. Burial followed in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, in Olive Hill. Jeff Kiser, Steve Carroll, Paul Gilliam, Dexter Bradley, Daniel Jones, and Paul Steagall served as Pallbearers.
