Hubert James Cecil - 1919-2007

Mr. Hubert James Cecil, 87, of Olive Hill, Ky., passed away Wednesday morning, Sept. 26, 2007, in Boyd County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Hubert was born Oct. 13, 1919, in Floyd County, Ky., the son of the late Shular and Josie Stratton Cecil.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Charlotte Waye Lowe Cecil; a son, James Lowe (J.L.) Cecil; 
two brothers, Luther Cecil and Denver Cecil; and two sisters, Evelyn M. Cecil and Mary K. Cox.

Mr. Cecil was self-employed and co-founder of Carter County Stone Co. He served his country with the U.S. Army and 
was a born-again Christian who attended Three Pine Freewill Baptist Church.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Jenny Lou and Harvey Allen Kiser of Olive Hill; his daughter-in-law, Linda Cecil of Olive Hill; 
four grandchildren, Kylend Hollie Kiser, Kody Kiser, Chase Cecil and Chance Cecil; and two great-grandchildren, Olivia Baye Kiser and Stratton Riley Kiser.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill with Brother Mark Lilly 
and Brother Gary Sparks officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Olive Hill.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. today and until services Saturday at the funeral home.

Steven Carroll, Paul Gilliam, Jeff Kiser, George Lowe, Greg Lowe and Joe Roark will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Gideons International, the Three Pine Freewill Baptist Church building fund 
or the First Baptist Church of Olive Hill elevator fund.
