Kentucky GenWeb projectOBIT - Mary M. Eddy - Carrollton - Mary M. Eddy, 60, of 1263 Bramble Rd., died June 15, in Carrollton, after a short illness. She was born in Carter County, Ky. and came to the Akron area in 1942, where she resided before moving to Carrollton in 1976. Mrs. Eddy was employed with the Harcourt Manufacturing Company for 21 years, retiring in 1976 and was a member of the Independent Order of Forrestor's, Court No. 1041. She is survived by husband, Raymond; sons, Charles R. and James C., both of Springfield Twp., Robert Lee, of Galion, Oh.; daughter, Carol Ann Werner, of Akron; ten grandchildren; mother, Mrs. Jennie Carroll, of Hitchens, Ky.; brothers, Charlie Carroll, Willard Carroll and Donald Carroll, all of Mansfield; Curtis Carroll, of Grelton, Oh.; sisters, Lucille Eaberlin, Blanche Maggard, both of Hitchens, Ky., Edna Newland, of Stockport, Oh., Jewel Fite, of Mansfield, Ruby Gollihue, of Swanton, OH. Funeral services Tuesday, 1 p.m. from Hopkins Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd., Akron. Rev. W. Carey Hallback officiating. Burial Hillsdale Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday. The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society. (Hopkins) She was a daughter of Willard James and Jennie Gill Carroll, a granddaughter of Daniel Boone and Amanda Simmons Carroll.
