Bertha Marie Carroll Blevins, 89, of Wells Branch, Grayson, Ky., passed away Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2003, in King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky.     

She was born in Carter County, Ky., Jan. 29, 1914, a daughter of the late Henry and Ada Walker Carroll.     

Her husband, William Curtis Blevins, preceded her in death in 1984.     

She was a housewife and mother and was of the Baptist faith.     

Surviving are six sons, Jess Blevins and his wife, Sue, of Leon, W. Va., Curtis Blevins Jr., and his wife, Alice, of Sandy Hook, Ky., 
Clifford Blevins and his wife, Loretta, Tom Blevins and his wife, Vickie, John Blevins ahd his wife, Audrey, and Ernest Blevins 
and his wife, Jennifer, all of Grayson; three daughters, Zethel Gentry and her husband, Robert, and Cloral Henry, all of Columbus, Ohio, 
and Juanita Ferguson and her husband, Argus, of Keaton, Ky.; a daughter-in-law, Dottie Blevins of Columbus; one brother, Estill Fields 
of Manchester, Ohio; five sisters, Sophia Cox of Pedro, Ohio, Goldie Workman, Linda Mobley and Jessie Coleman, all of Mansfield, Ohio, 
and Elizabeth Carroll of Olive Hill, Ky.; 44 grandchildren; 80 great-grandchildren; and19 great-great-grandchildren.     

Preceding her in death, in addition to her husband and her parents, were two daughters, Ethel Knipp and Linda Cummings; two sons, 
Wayne Blevins and Oral Ray Blevins; two grandsons, Joe Crable and Brian Blevins; one granddaughter, Judy Baker; two sisters, Faye Mauk 
and Letha Fields; and three brothers, William "Bill" Carroll, Clifford Carroll and Roy Fields.     

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, Sept. 26, at 1 p.m. at Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson with Russell Griffith officiating. 
Burial will follow in Blevins family cemetery.     

Friends may call from 6 to 9 tonight, Sept. 25, and after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
