Curtis Burge, 74 of Salem Road, near Grayson passed away suddenly Saturday evening at St. Claire Medical Center in Morehead. 

Mr. Burge was born October 26,1933 in Carter County a son of the late Roy and Lottie McGlone Burge. 

He was retired from the Tappen Company in Mansfield, OH. where had worked as a press operator for 23 years. He was a United States Army veteran. 

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Genieve Meenach Burge, one son, Wayland Burge of Grayson, one daughter, Lisa (Rob) Maynard of Ashland, Ohio, three sisters; Phyllis Felty of Mansfield, Ohio, Shirley Davis of Grayson,and Carolyn Brown of Greenup,three brothers; Dewey Burge of Mansfield, Ohio,Larry Burge and Clarence Raymond Burge both of Marion, Ohio. Three grand children; Amber (Marvin) Rutherford, Justin Lee Burge and Jacob Ricer. One great grandson, Jason. Three step-grandchildren; Cory, Chrissy and Colton. 

He was preceeded in death by three sisters; Ruth Felty, Ruby Helen Myers, and Roberta Gross. One brother, Landis Burge. 

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, November 7th at 1:00pm at the Sparks Funeral Home, Lewis Davis and Monroe Burton, ministers. Burial will be in the Sutton Cemetery near Grayson. 

Friends may call after 6:00pm Tuesday November 6th and after 9:00am Wednesday at the Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson.
