Kentucky GenWeb projectJack Bellamy 1939-2004 Jack Bellamy, 64, of Ashland, died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2004, at his residence. He was born Dec. 7, 1939, in Hitchins, Ky., the son of the late George G. and Maxine Stidham Bellomy. He was also preceded in death by a brother, James A. Bellomy. He was retired from Peter J. Schmidtt Grocery Wholesale, a lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers football fan and the first sales representative to sell the Gatorade sports-drink product to the National Football League. Surviving are three sons, Jay Bellamy of Annandale, Va., Lee Bellamy of Naples, Fla., and Joe Bellamy of Rochester, N.Y.; and five grandchildren, Michael Bellamy, Stephanie Kistner, Brianna Bellamy, Marissa Bellamy and Brittany Bellamy. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2004, at Miller Funeral Home. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Kentucky Chapter, 710 W. Main St., Suite 201, Louisville, KY 40202.
