Opal Adams       
1908 - 2003 

Opal Bays Adams, 94, of Willard went to be with her heavenly father Friday. She was born December 3, 1908 at Johns Run, 
a daughter of the late Leonard and Mary Green Bays. She was a 1928 graduate of CNI, the Christian Normal Institute, a retired postmaster from the 
Willard office and had been a member of the Willard Church of Christ for at least 75 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years 
Milton R. Adams Sr. and one son Milton Adams Jr., a daughter in law Lucille McDavid Adams, one grandson William Raymond Adams, and four brothers, 
James Bays Jr., Leonard Bays, William Bays, and Tom Bays. Four sisters, Ethel Fleming, Edith Bowling, Flora Duncan and Wanda McCarley. 
She is survived by: Two son and daughter in laws: Leonard “Sonny” Adams,  George and wife Eloise Adams,Margaret Hall Adams all of Grayson KY 
Two daughters and son in laws: Mary and John Barnhill,  Nina and Ray Lambert all of Grayson;  Two brothers: Paul Bays of  Oldtown, KY and 
John Bays of Willard;  Three sisters: Dorothy Riggle of Willard,  Nell Campbell of Waco, KY and Orba Shepherd Piketon of OH;  
15 Grandchildren: Jim Adams, Jerry and Berniece Adams, Jody and Debbie Adams, Keith Barnhill,  Jeff and Debbie Barnhill,  John and Brenda Barnhill,  
Mike and Dawn Adams,  Trisha and Lacy Jackson, Randy and Suzanne Lambert,  David and Trisha Lambert,  Stephen and Amy Lambert, Sheila and David Porter, 
George Jr., and Rhonda Adams, Victor and Donna Adams, Russ and Stephanie Adams; 31 Great grandchildren: Joseph and Robin Adams, Willy Adams, Jody Jr. 
and Briana Adams, Josh Adams, Jarrod Adams, Jessica Adams, Aaron and Carrie Barnhill, Marcie Barnhill, Duane Barnhill, Maverick Barnhill, Colt Barnhill, 
Timmy and Tiffany Adams, Brent and Randilee Adams, Mike Adams Jr., Kayla Adams, Niki Adams, Kristie Jackson, Mitchell Jackson, Taylor Lambert, 
Madison Lambert, Jacob Lambert, Jeb Lambert, Zack Porter, Ashton Porter, Shelby Adams, Colt Adams, Caleb Adams, Brent Adams, Elijah Adams, Micah Adams,

Myrtle Sammons, and Brenda Swanagan. 


Funeral services will be conducted Monday 11:00 a.m. at the Willard Church of Christ by Mike Harper and a host of family. 
Burial will be in the East Carter Co. Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 5-9 Sunday at the Malone Funeral Home and after 10:00 a.m. 
at the church Monday.
