Dorothy Elizabeth Bayes Riggle 1918 - 2004 Dorothy Elizabeth Bayes Riggle, 85, went to be with the Lord on Friday in Carter Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born December 1, 1918 at Johns Run a daughter of the late Leonard and Mary Green Bayes. She was a homemaker, a member of the Willard Church of Christ, and served one year in the WAC. She was preceded in death by a son Victor Bert Riggle in 1965, four brothers; James, Leonard, William, and Tom Bayes, five sisters; Ethel Fleming, Edith Bowling, Opal Adams, Flora Duncan, and Wanda McCarley. She is survived by: Her husband of 61 years: Lloyd Riggle of Willard. 2 Daughters and a 2 son in laws: Mary Alice and husband Lonnie Sweeney of Webbville, KY and Cathy Lynn and husband Mike Ward of Hurricane, WV.Grandchildren: Michael and wife Alicia Sweeney Barboursville, WV; Tawney Ward; Michael David Ward both of Hurricane. 3 Grandchildren: Tanner Michael, Lauren, and Cory Sweeney; 2 Brothers: John Bayes of Willard and Paul Bayes Oldtown; 2 Sisters: Orbie Shepherd of Piketon, OH and Nell Campbell of Waco, KY And a host of nieces and nephews to mourn her passing. Funeral services will be conducted Monday 1:00 p.m. at the Malone Funeral Home by the minister Bill Bush. Burial will be in the East Carter Co. Memory Gardens. Friends may call Sunday from 5-9 p.m. and after 9:00 a.m. Monday. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.timeformemory.com/malone. In Lieu of flowers contributions are ask to be made to Gideon Bibles which envelopes are supplied at funeral home.
