Kentucky GenWeb projectVENITA STAMPER 1932-1993 The Daily Independent, Ashland, Kentucky Saturday, April 10, 1993 Venita Faye Stamper, 60, of Ashland, died Friday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Steve (Debbie) Adkins of Catlettsburg. Mrs. Stamper was born May 25, 1932, in Golconda, Ill., a daughter of the late Curtis and Anna Mae Johnson VanHorn. She was a member of First Church of God of Ashland. Additional survivors include her husband, James R. Stamper; a son, the Rev. James A. Stamper of Ashland; two brothers, Ben Van Horn of Ashland and Ray VanHorn of Dry Beach, Ga.; a sister, Carolyn Jones of Ashland; and two grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Steen Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel by the Rev. Harley Johnson. Entombment will be in Rose Hill Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Leukemia Society America, Kentucky Chapter, Sutie 200, 802 W Broadway, Louisville, Ky. 40202.
