War of 1812 Pension, William Horsley

“William Horsley was born about 1795 in or near Fayette County, Kentucky. His father has not been proved. It seems likely that it is James Taylor Horsley the Revolutionary Pensioner but he could be the son of a William Horsley that was born about 1770 and married Polly/Mary Daugherty in Estill County in 1795. This William (1770) was residing in Greenup at the time of the 1820 census but later moved to Adams County, Ohio and was enumerated there in the 1830 and 1840 census. The James Horsley who gives testimony in this pension record is the son of James Taylor Horsley and as such could be a brother to William the pensioner.”
