Note that the main road from Olive Hill to Morehead follows the Soldier Branch of Tygart's Creek,
which is todays Ky Rt. 174 through Upper Tygart, rather than the route chosen by the builders of US 60.

Speculation:

The other westerly road from Olive Hill goes toward Flemingsburg, apparently following Flemings Fork
west of Olive Hill (no longer a road), northwesterly along Holly Fork Rd., along Cranston Rd. to
Rocky Ford Rd. (Ky. Rt. 799) to Morehead Rd. (Ky. Rt. 32), thense into Flemingsburg.
