"1861 Hall Map"
Apparently earlier maps showing a completed railroas from Ashland through Olive Hill anticipated actual construction.
On this map, the railroad extends out of Ashland only about to the Rush, Ky. area.
"Esculapia" appears between Vanceburg and Flemingsburg on several maps of this era.
There is no actual settlement in that area today.
