| | To: "John Grace" John, On the Counts Chart I would like to offer a suggested change. Note that the original
| | chart showed a Col Counts, female, born in 1849. I have seen this before somewhere. Actually it is Eve Counts born in 1851.
| | She is not shown in the 1850 census and the 1860 census is apparently where the error originated. In 1860 it appears to read Coe
| | but a closer look at the original shows that the indentation of the "E" is very, very small and makes it look like a "C".
| | The "v" is almost closed at the top making it look like an "o". In the 1860 census the age is shown as 10 but in the 1870 census
| | the age is shown as 19 and the name is clearly Eve.

| counts researchers, don't forget about the counts that went west to "dakota" and Oregon. you have many cousins of which you know not. the cousins of dakota settled
| mainly in bottineau county around the turtle mountains that remind me of Ky.. there are several researchers and a reunion with the Johnsons and probst was held a few
| years ago. quite a few of the counts went to rainier, columbia county,oregon in 1903 and before. the counts, stehman, burchett and mcglone boys had an unbeatable
| baseball team in the early 1920s. the family of samuel and mary rucker counts were one of these family's. if you have holes in your tree maybe this is where it is. i know
