A Look Back...Volume I

By Sherry Lowe

Hardcover Print: $29.95

8 x 11 Book of 241 pages.

A look back at the history of Carter County, Kentucky, which was formed in 1838. Contains the 1839 tax list and a list of the heads of
households as reported in the 1840 census records along with over 60 five-generation ancestral charts and page after page of
pictures of the family members, demonstrating that many of the 2009 inhabitants of Carter County are descended from those early
settlers. This series of books will be helpful to those with ancestral ties to Carter County to build their own family history and it will
hopefully aid the seasoned researcher in rounding out their data. Even for the non-researchers, this series of books can be a
delight to search for pictures of their family or to hunt for their surname among the many names listed and explored in each volume.
