DEATH OF A PRISONER-The Secession prisoners confined in the
Newport Barracks are dropping off one by one. Yesterday one of them named
William H Overbee, who belonged to Marshall's forces, died of typhus fever.
His funeral will take place tomorrow. This is the third or fourth death that has occurred among the prisoners lately.
