John Morgan

Covington Journal, Saturday, April 15, 1871, page 3

A new steamboat, seventy feet long and drawing eleven inches water, came down the Licking River last Sunday afternoon from some point above Blue Lick Springs, in Nicholas county, where she was built.

She is called the John Morgan and her present trip to the mouth of the Licking is for the purpose of receiving her machinery.  She is intended exclusively for the Licking River traffic.
