"The little boy on his Mom's lap in the front
center is my Dad born July 15, 1917. So I figure
this photo is around 1918. I can match some of the people in the picture from
other photos that are marked. But I'm afraid some of these people will never be
identified. My Grandmother and great-grandmother are in the
photo. Of some interest is the man second from the right in the back. I
believe this is a man my Great Aunt was engaged to. His name was Simon and he
died during WWI. He died of the flu and as I got the story, he either died on
the ship going to France or shortly after he got there. His body was sent home
two years later and he is buried in St. Mary's in Alexandria."
