Rebecca Air

The Cincinnati Daily Enquirer, 19 Dec 1865, page 1

DEATH OF AN AGED PAUPER-A woman named Rebecca Air, for many years an inmate of the Poor house in this city, died yesterday morning at the advanced age of seventy-four years.  A singular circumstance in connection with her death is worth record.

She has for many years been possessed of a hallucination to the effect that she would have a "warning" or presentiment of her death.  On yesterday morning she arose as usual in apparent good health, and immediately proceeded to dispose of her few worldly goods, by donating them to one or two long remembered friends.

Her arrangements had scarcely been completed when she was seized with a violent fit of paralysis, which terminated her earthly existence as above stated.
