Peregrine and Susanna Phillips
Peregrine Phillips was born 30 Jan 1800 in Bristol, Gloucester, England, the son of Peregrine and Elizabeth. He married Susannah Chapman in 1828 in Bristol. They immigrated to the United States in 1830 settling in Campbell County and then living in Cincinnati for a few years. In 1850 there were living in southern Campbell County where Peregrine was farming. In 1860 the family was living in Jamestown where he was again farming. In 1870 he was living in Buena Vista in Harrison Co Kentucky living with his son Alfred.
Peregrine died 6 Mar 1888 in Cynthiana Kentucky at the home of his son Alfred. He was buried in Evergreen Cemetery.
Susannah Chapman was born in 1806 in Bristol England and died 9 Feb 1850 Big Bend near the Licking River in southern Campbell County. She was buried in the Newport Cemetery (now Evergreen) in Southgate.
