DEATH OF AN OLD RESIDENT
Mrs. Katherine Johnson died last night at her home, 812 Patterson
street, aged 74 years. She had been a resident of Newport for nearly 40
years. Her husband, the late William Johnson, was a commissioned officer in the
United States Army and died at Newport Barracks 35 years ago.
One son, James Johnson, survives the deceased.
