State of Kentucky, Campbell County

On May 27, 1833, in the above named county and state, the said pensioner appeared before the Justice of the Campbell County Court and stated that he had entered the War of the Revolution in the year 1781 to serve in the Militia of Riflemen in the county of Rockingham in the state of Virginia to serve in the company under the command of Robert Craburs, his Captain, and William Smith his first lieutenant. The affidavit of Bartlett Bennett and Josiah Herbert was also given at the same time and in the same place as the foregoing. The said deponents stated and swore that at one time and in the said county and state they had both been well and favorably acquainted with the above named soldier of the War of the Revolution, Jonathan Huling. And they further stated and swore that he is also believed to be or to have been in the War of the Revolution.

On May 28 of 1833, it was stated that in the above named court that the said pensioner, Jonathan Huling, belonged to the Virginia Militia and that he was a private soldier in the company under the command of Captain Charles Craburs. His pension was issued on October 18, 1833.
