John Trimble of the Second Judicial District certifies that
James Marston personally appeared and made oath that he is a resident of
Campbell County and that he served in the War of the Revolution of the side of
the United States of America. He stated that he had first enlisted to serve in
the company under the command of Captain Daniel M Moose in the state of New
Hampshire in the month of May 1775. And he also stated that he afterwards served
in the company under the command of Captain James Gray of the state of New
Hampshire and in the regimen of that state in the spring of the year 1776. He
also stated that he remained in that capacity as a private soldier. He stated
and swore that he had been honorable discharged. His discharge was received at
the termination of the war in the year 1783.

James Marston appeared before court on July 24, 1820 and stated that he was a resident citizen of the United States on March 18, 1818. James Taylor sets his hand and affixes his seal of the said court on July 30, 1820.
