Charles D and Rebecca Day Horner

 

Charles D Horner was born Aug 1859 in Tennessee and married Rebecca Day Minnes who was born 17 July 1859 in Cincinnati. She was the daughter of Edward Minnes and Julia Adney Walden. Charles became a teacher at the Southgate School in Newport, the only African American school in Campbell County. Rebecca died 4 Dec 1941 in Chicago Illinois and was buried 6 Dec in the Mt Glenwood Cemetery in Worth of Cook County. (information comes from death certificate)
