Grants Lick Elementary School was rented by the church to serve as a meeting place until a church building was constructed.

Harry and Velma Darlington donated a piece of property for the building location on US 27 South. On Dec 13, 1964 Rev N E Godfrey began serving as Interim Pastor and on May 23, 1965, a ground breaking service was held for the building and on June 13, Rev George Freeland was called to serve as Fairlane’s first full time pastor.

The Fairlane Baptist Church dedicated a new building 15 May 1966 in Grants Lick. The Rev N E Godfrey delivered the dedication sermon. The family of Grover and Georgia Smith gave property in memory of their parents for a church parsonage. The church voted to build that parsonage on April 16, 1980

On Apr 26, 1992 under the leadership of Rev Gary Wilson, a ground breaking ceremony was held for a two storey educational building addition. This building would consist of nine classrooms, fellowship hall, kitchen and restrooms. The dedication of theis building was Nov 15, 1992.
