On August 27, 1832, Edward Morin personally appeared in open court before the Justice of Campbell County Court, being a resident of the aforesaid county, and being at the age of 87 years. He stated that he had entered the service in the year 1775 to serve in the company under the command of Captain Joseph Rogers, and in the regiment under the command of Colonel John Skinker in the Militia of the state of Virginia.

And he further stated that he had served for a period of four years in the regiment under the command of Colonel John Washington, and in the company under the command of Captain Townsend Dade. He stated that he had resided in King George County at the close of the term of his service. He stated that he had removed to Fauquier County in the state of Virginia after that time.

Edward Morin relinquishes any claim whatever to a pension or annuity whatever except the present and declares that his name is not on the pension roll of the agency of any state. Sworn to and subscribed the day aforesaid. (signed) Edward (X) Morin
