Delta Queen
1941-Painted battleship gray, the Delta Queen is converted into a military transport carrying soldiers through San Francisco harbor to troop ships bound for war in the Pacific.

Captain Tom Greene, of the Greene Line Company of Steamboats, bid the sole offer of $46,250 for the Delta Queen, which was in California at that time. On November 20, 1946, Captain Greene took possession of the Queen, which he intended to use as a cruise-boat on the Mississippi, Ohio and Tennessee Rivers.
