Green Line Company Acquires Delta Queen

Captain Tom Greene, of the Greene Line Company of Steamboats, bid the sole offer of $46,250 for the Delta Queen, which was in California at that time. On November 20, 1946, Captain Greene took possession of the Queen, which he intended to use as a cruise-boat on the Mississippi, Ohio and Tennessee Rivers.
