Daniel Stapleton was born about 1843 in Ireland and immigrated to the United States coming to Kentucky where he married Katherine Frances Kearns 1 June 1870 in Newport Kentucky. Daniel was killed in an accident 15 Sep 1876 in Newport and was buried in the St Stephen Cemetery.

Katherine Frances Stapleton was born 8 June 1853 in Ireland, the daughter of Richard Kearns and Bridget Kelly. She died 14 Dec 1932 in Newport and was buried in the St Stephen Cemetery.
